CABARRUS COUNTY <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />1 <br />�A CA1Lp 1�1�I : • <br />• P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />EMS - Recognition of EMS Personnel for Recent Competition Victory <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On October 18, 2014, Will Cannon and Jonathan Maulden competed <br />against teams from North and South Carolina in "The Carolina's <br />Paramedic Competition - the yardstick by which all other EMS <br />competitions are measured ". The competition, held in Columbia, SC, is in <br />its 18th year and consists of two 10- minute life- saving scenarios that are <br />very challenging and realistic. <br />Scores from both events are combined for a final score for each team, <br />with the top four teams receiving awards. Jonathan Maulden currently <br />serves as an EMS Field Training Officer with eight years of EMS <br />experience and Will Cannon serves as an EMS Relief Supervisor with <br />thirteen years of EMS experience.
