Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 2 -Rules of Construction and Definitions <br />manufacturing plant and designed to be transported to the home site on its own chassis; and <br />(iii) exceeds forty feet in length and eight feet in width. Manufactured homes consist of only a <br />single section or multi section. See State of North Carolina Regulations for Manufactured <br />Homes. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME PARK - Any area, lot, parcel or tract held in common ownership, and <br />on which individual portions of said area, lot, parcel or tract are leased for the placement of <br />manufactured homes as a primary residence. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME RETAIL SALES - Establishments where manufact +homes are set <br />up and on display for potential buyers to view. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME SPACE - The portion of land area allotted and /or designated to be <br />allotted to any one manufactured home. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME SUBDIVISION - A parcel or contiguous parcels of land subdivided <br />into two or more lots configured for development of manufactured housing. <br />MANUFACTURING - Establishments primarily engaged in the use of machines, tools, and <br />labor to produce goods for use or sale. <br />METAL WORKS, METAL PROCESSING - Establishments primarily engaged in the process of <br />working with metals to create individual parts, assemblies, or large scale structures. <br />MIDDLE SCHOOL - A school which embraces not more than the first year of high school with <br />not more than the upper two elementary grades. <br />Aw"'A' <br />MITIGATION - The minimization of impacts to existing vegetation and wildlife habitat as a <br />result of development where lost vegetation and wildlife habitat are restored or recreated. <br />MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT - A proposed development that includes primary non - residential <br />and primary residential uses on the same site. <br />MODULAR HOME - A dwelling unit constructed in accordance with the construction <br />standards of North Carolina Residential Code for One -and Two - Family Dwellings and <br />composed of components substantially assembled in a manufacturing plant and <br />transported to the building site for final assembly and placement on a permanent <br />foundation. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, a modular home may <br />consist of two or more sections transported to the site on a chassis or steel frame, <br />or a series of panels or room sections transported to the site and erected, <br />assembled, or joined there. <br />MOTEL - A building or group of buildings containing guest <br />all of which have a separate entrance leading directly from <br />Chapter 2 Page 15 of 29 <br />rooms or dwelling units, some or <br />the outside of the building with <br />Revised 2013 <br />Attachment number 2 <br />G -1 Page 302 <br />
