Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 2 -Rules of Construction and Definitions <br />garage or parking space located on the lot and designed, used, or intended wholly or in part <br />for the accommodation of automobile transients. <br />MOTOR HOME - A large motor vehicle, usually with facilities for sleeping and eating, used <br />for recreational activities such as camping <br />MOTOR VEHICLE - Any machine designed or intended to travel over land, water, or air by self <br />propulsion or while attached to a self propelled vehicle. <br />MOTORCYCLE SALES, NEW OR USED - Establishments primarily engaged in the retail sales <br />of new or used motorcycles. <br />MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL - A structure arranged, designed, and intended to be the <br />residence of more than one family, with each family having independent cooking and <br />bathing facilities. May be stacked or located side by side. <br />MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION COMPLEX - A facility, the principal use of <br />which is to create varying forms of educational or entertainment products including but not <br />limited to films, videos, and records. The facility also encompasses all allied accessory uses <br />spanning both the construction and media production fields. <br />NAIL SALON - Establishments primarily engaged in providing nail services, such as <br />manicures and pedicures. <br />NONCONFORMING BUILDING OR STRUCTURE - A building or structure that was lawfully <br />developed, and legally existed prior to any change in the applicable zoning district bulk <br />regulations, but does not comply with one or more of the applicable district bulk regulations, <br />either on the Effective Date of this Ordinance or as a result of any amendments to this <br />Ordinance. <br />NONCONFORMING LOT - A lot which was lawfully created prior to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance but which does not conform to the dimensional requirements for lots in its zoning <br />district as set forth in this Ordinance. <br />NONCONFORMING USE - A use of land that: <br />1. Legally existed before its current zoning or land use category designation; and <br />2. Has been maintained continuously since the time the applicable regulations <br />governing the land changed; and <br />3.
