Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 8- Conditional Uses <br />Step 4 When revisions are submitted, approved, and the plan and application materials <br />conform to the applicable ordinances, the revised complete application is presented to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, acting as Board of Adjustment, for consideration. <br />Applications for a Conditional Use must demonstrate compliance with the general standards <br />of review. Additionally, Conditional Uses must: <br />When the Commission finds that circumstances relating to a particular use warrant more <br />requirements, in addition to those listed in connection with the use, the Commission may <br />attach necessary conditions such as time limitations, requirements that one or more things <br />be done before the request can be initiated or permits obtained and /or conditions of a <br />continuing nature. These may include other requirements such as screening, landscaping, <br />lighting, size and location of signs, etc. <br />To summarize, conditional uses are subject to both general and specific requirements, <br />rather than being automatically permitted. The review process of a conditional use assures <br />that County government is meeting its responsibility of providing for the general health, <br />o <br />safety and welfare the residents of Cabarrus County. <br />Section 8 -4 Conditional Uses'"' <br />1. Adult Use <br />General Commercia'l'�district <br />a. Site plan should show all surrounding land uses within 500 feet of the proposed site <br />boundary lines. <br />b. All windows, doors, openings, entries, etc. for all adult uses shall be so located, <br />covered, screened or otherwise treated so that views into the interior of the <br />establishment are not possible. <br />c.
