Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 8- Conditional Uses <br />equipment customarily incidental to the receiving or transmitting of wireless broadcasts, <br />cellular telephone calls, voice messaging and paging services. <br />ALTERNATIVE TOWER STRUCTURE- Man -made trees, clock towers, bell steeples, light poles <br />and similar alternative- design mounting structures that camouflage or conceal the presence <br />of antennas or towers. <br />APPLICATION — A formal request submitted to the county, to construct or modify a wireless <br />support structure or a wireless facility. <br />BASE STATION — A station at a specific site at` <br />generally consisting of radio receivers, antenna <br />associated electronics. <br />TffMe with mobile stations, <br />power supplies, and other <br />COMMUNICATIONS TOW A tower, which supports communication (broadcast, receiving, <br />or relay) equipment, utilized by government or other public and quasi - public users. This <br />does not include private home use of satellite dishes and television antennas or amateur <br />radio operators as licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). <br />ELIGIBLE FACILITIES REQUEST- A request for modification of an existing wireless tower or <br />base station that involves collocation of new transmission equipment or replacement of <br />transmission equipment but does not include a substantial modification. <br />EQUIPMENT - Antennas, transmitters, receivers, cables, wires, transformers, power <br />supplies, electric and communication lines necessary for the provision of television <br />broadcast signals, radio wave signals, wireless data or wireless telecommunication services <br />to a discrete geographic area, and all other apparatuses and appurtenances, including <br />Chapter 8 Page 23 of 33 <br />Revised August, 2013 <br />Attachment number 4 <br />G -1 Page 373 <br />
