Truck Stop or Truck Terminal <br />General Commercial and Limited Industrial districts <br />a. Submit a complete description of the facility including but not limited to: <br />o Days /hours of operation <br />o Total number of employees, both full- tirand part -time <br />b. Wireless Telecommunications Services <br />All zones <br />Section I Purpose <br />The purpose of this Section 36 is to: <br />• Protect residential areas and land uses from potential adverse impacts of towers and <br />antennas; <br />• Encourage the location of towers in non - residential and less developed areas; <br />• Strongly encourage joint use of new and existing tower sites as a primary option <br />rather than construction of additional single -use towers; <br />• Encourage users of towers and antennas to locate them, to the extent possible, in <br />areas where the adverse impact on the community is minimal; <br />• Encourage users of towers and antennas to configure them in a way that minimizes <br />the adverse visual impact of the towers and antennas through careful design, siting, <br />landscape screening, and innovative camouflaging techniques; <br />• Enhance the ability of the providers of telecommunications services to provide such <br />services to the community quickly, effectively, and efficiently; <br />• Consider the public's health and safety in regard to communication towers; and <br />• Avoid potential damage to adjacent properties from tower failure through <br />engineering and careful siting of tower structures. <br />Section 2 Definitions <br />The words, terms and phrases shall have the meanings assigned below provided, however, <br />any words, terms or phrases not defined herein shall have the meaning assigned in Chapter <br />2 of this Ordinance: <br />ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT STRUCTURE- A building or cabinet -like structure located adjacent <br />to, or in the immediate vicinity of, a wireless telecommunication tower or antenna to house <br />Chapter 8 Page 22 of 33 <br />Revised August, 2013 <br />Attachment number 4 <br />G -1 Page 372 <br />
