Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance Chapter 12- Administration and Enforcement Section 12 -1 How to use this Chapter. This Chapter is divided into the following three major parts: Part II. The Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission Section 12 -15 Representation, terms, powers and responsibilities are set forth as well as explanations of both the conditional use and variance to 12 -26 procedures as - well -as and application of the interpretation power. I Section 12 -27 to 12 -29 4% Part I Zoning Administrator; Zoning Compliance Permits Section 12 -2 Zoning Administrator A Zoning Administrator and such staff as designated by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners ( HeFeinafteF FefeFFeEl `e as GeRgRgiss °BOC ") s4a+l to administer and enforce the provisions of this Ordinance. Among the responsibilities of the Zoning Administrator is the issuance or denial of Certificates of Zoning Compliance. If a ruling of the Zoning Administrator is questioned, applicant(s) may appeal to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission (the "Commission"" as described in Section 12 -22. Section 12 -3 Certificates of Zoning Compliance Permit required A Zoning Compliance Permit must be obtained from the Gabarrus GeHnty Zoning Administrator prior to the use or occupancy of any building or premises, or both, hereinafter created, erected, changed, converted, or wholly or partly altered or enlarged in its use or structure. Additionally, no nonconforming structure or use can similarly be changed or extended without a Zoning Compliance Permit or Certificate of Adjustment. A Zoning Compliance Permit must be obtained before a building permit can be issued.
