Describe the needs of low- income youth and your agency's efforts to promote increased <br />community coordination and collaboration in meeting the needs of low- income youth. <br />SRCAA, Inc. Career and Education Training Services (Workforce Investment Act Program) <br />continues to serve 70 low- income youth whose needs include basic literacy skills, a GED, <br />housing due to homelessness, runaway, foster and pregnant teen as well as, offender and <br />disability services. The Career and Education Training Services (WIA) Program commits to <br />an intensive and detailed case management approach for service delivery. The Program <br />assumed the responsibility for providing extensive coordination, necessary between all <br />service providers such as: <br />• DWS Job Link Center — (Rowan and Cabarrus) <br />• Rowan Cabarrus Community College <br />• Rowan Salisbury Schools <br />• Department Of Social Services — (Rowan and Cabarrus) <br />• Vocational Rehabilitation - (Rowan and Cabarrus) <br />• Career Connections <br />• NC Research Center <br />• Health Department - (Rowan and Cabarrus) <br />• Juvenile Justice <br />• NC Agriculture Extension Service <br />• Adolescent Pregnancy Council <br />+ Team Chevrolet <br />• Livingstone College <br />• Barber Scotia College <br />• Goodwill — ( Rowan and Cabarrus) <br />• Project SAFE (Rowan) <br />• Project Re -Entry — ( Cabarrus) <br />The Board of Directors merging of two departments Career and Education Training Services <br />(WIA Youth) and the Family Services (CSBG) strategically aligned SRCAA to serve youth <br />and families. This has helped to unify our approach to case management and youth and <br />family development. <br />ROMA Goals 1 and 5 DHHS Excels -Goal 1 <br />Low - income People Become More Self- Sufficient; Agencies Manage resources that provide an elevated level of effective <br />increase their capacity to achieve results and efficient delivery of services and programs to North <br />Carolinians. <br />11.
