Salisbury Rowan Community Action Agency <br />In the past, SRCAA, Inc. has used local faith -based organizations and private sources in <br />Rowan to donate services and finances throughout the year to help our agency serve the <br />low- income community when CSBG funds are not available. SRCAA seeks additional, <br />appropriate grants to meet the needs of our population beyond CSBG funding. In the past <br />year a corporate partnership has been solidified and we are in conversation with the <br />Community Relations Departments of area banks to begin increasing our unrestricted funds <br />from corporations and foundations. One Bank — Fifth Third has awarded SRCAA a $10,000 <br />grant. <br />b. Funds to support the overall agency <br />The SRCAA, Inc. Board of Directors lead by its Fundraising Committee will continue with its <br />current fund development strategy. <br />I. Identify and develop a fundraising goal for 2014 -2015 (ongoing) <br />2. Develop and expand the current donor base (ongoing) <br />3. Seek small community development awards from corporations (one received) <br />4. Become an option for United Way donations (current) <br />5. Seek United Way funding (on grant received) <br />6. Identify other potential leadersidonors (ongoing) <br />- Corporate sponsors <br />- Foundations <br />- Major gifts <br />Private corporate and individual donors <br />7. Continue improving our technology and ability to reach more people through <br />fundraising through social media (technology and internal communications has <br />improved since last year) <br />The agency has identified the following as opportunities to expand technology and <br />fundraising: <br />• Sales force, which is a web -based program for non - profits that assist in managing <br />and tracking donors, grants, donations, and recurring gifts. <br />• Actively use Facebook, Twitter or other social media <br />• The SRCAA Website has been upgraded <br />• The goal is to allow for direct donations and to demonstrate the agency's <br />performance through our website. <br />ROMA Goal 2,4 and 6 <br />DHHS Excels -Goals 1 and 3 <br />Low income People Become More Self - Sufficient; Partnerships <br />Manage resources that provide an elevated level of effective <br />among supporters and providers of services to low- income <br />and efficient delivery of services and programs to North <br />people are achieved; Low - income people, especially vulnerable <br />Carolinians; Offer outreach and services to individuals and <br />populations, achieve their potential by strengthening family and <br />families identified as being at risk of compromised health and <br />other support systems <br />safet . <br />12. Describe your agency's method for informing custodial parents in single- parent families that <br />participate in CSBG programming about the availability of child support services. In addition, <br />describe your method for referring eligible parents to the child support office[s]. <br />Assessments are completed at intake to address the need of the families. Referrals are made to <br />Rowan and Cabarrus County Department of Social Services Child Support Division if custodial <br />parents do not have an active Child Support order.
