3.28 Marking of Switches, Indicators and Control Devices <br />All switches, indicators and control devices supplied by the ambulance manufacturer shall <br />employ permanently engraved translucent labels. Backlighting shall be activated when the <br />"MASTER" switch is on. Decals or other "stick on" type labels are NOT ACCEPTA <br />Does your bid comply? Yes No <br />3.29 Door Open Warninji Module <br />All door open warning switches will be wired through individual circuits directly to a solid -state <br />LED diagnostic board. There will be individual circuit connections with individual LED circuit <br />indicators for identifying switch or circuit failures. This module will be located in the ECC. An <br />audible alarm will be mounted in the front control console and will be an integral part of the <br />electrical conversion system. The audible alarm will be activated when any exterior <br />compartment or entry door is open. The alarm will be bypassed when the emergency brake is set <br />and will automatically reactivate when the brake is released. A door open display module will <br />be mounted on the driver's control console allowing the driver or passenger to identify which <br />door is open. <br />Does your bid comply? Yes <br />4.0 VEHICLE LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS <br />4.1 Vehicle Exterior Lighting <br />The basic exterior ambulance lighting shall comply to FMVSS Standard No. 108 and the <br />requirements therein and include: amber front and rear directional signals and hazard warning <br />lights, front and rear side marker lights, backup light(s), loading light(s), LED clearance lamps, <br />ambulance emergency lights, floodlights and scene light(s). The LED side marker lights shall <br />also function as a turn signal indicator as described in Federal Specification KKK -A -18 2E. <br />Does your bid comply? Yes—,Z—No <br />4.2 Vehicle Emergency Lighting Systems <br />The emergency lighting system must provide the vehicle with 360 degrees of visual warning <br />conspicuity. The system must display highly perceptible and attention - getting signals that <br />function in a mode system and convey the message in the PRIMARY MODE - "Clear the Right - <br />of -Way" and the SECONDARY MODE - Hazard Vehicle stopped on Right -of Way. A switch <br />on the front control console through the electronic control module shall control <br />Primary /Secondary mode. All screws, bolts, inserts or other devices used to mount external <br />lighting fixtures will be treated with ECK to prevent oxidation, corrosion or electrolys <br />Does your bid comply? Yes V No <br />4.3 Warning Lights <br />The basic warning light system shall contain FOURTEEN (14) Whelen 900 Series LED lights. <br />The red upper body warning lights shall be identical and mounted at the extreme upper corner <br />areas of the ambulance body below the horizontal roofline. All Lights shall have Whelen <br />Chrome Bezels. The exact locations are as follows: <br />• Front Module - Upper <br />Two (2) 900 Series LED — Corners - RED <br />Two (2) 900 Series LED — Inboard of above — RED /CLEAR <br />One (1) 900 Series LED — Center - CLEAR <br />• Sides Module — Upper <br />Two (2) 900 Series LED — Right Side - RED <br />Attac A nt number 1 <br />F -5 Page 115 <br />
