Article 7 <br />PURCHASING SYSTEMS <br />I. MUNIS <br />The automated financial system used for processing all Cabarrus County Purchase <br />Requisitions and Purchase Orders. Instructions for using this system are provided <br />on the WaterCooler (intranet) under the Finance tab. Training is available upon <br />request. <br />II. PROCUREMENT PROGRAMS <br />The Purchasing Office is actively researching electronic commerce initiatives to <br />enhance the way procurement activities are conducted. <br />A. Cabarrus County Website <br />www.cabarruscounty.us <br />Cabarrus County's website provides information on how to do business with the <br />County, Department listings, and news of County interest. <br />B. Online Catalogs /Ordering <br />The County is currently using internet online catalogs and ordering capabilities <br />for office supplies (designated Contract vendor) and other operational supplies as <br />needed. Each Department Head authorizes designated employees as users to <br />access and place orders through the internet contract catalog. <br />The Purchasing Office continues to expand its program of ordering goods through <br />selected vendors' internet catalog and ordering capabilities. <br />Page 35 of 48 <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -6 Page 107 <br />
