NC. 280260388
Cabarrus County Schools request the following movement of QSCB funds. Cabarrus County Schools has
not adopted a budget as of July 2 "d , therefore a budget amendment is not possible. This request is being
presented to the Board of Education and the Board of Commissioners for approval on July 2 nd in the
current format. Once a formal budget has been adopted, a budget amendment will be presented to
formally reflect the change.
Concord High School — Chillers (42,000)
Concord High School - Technology 42,000
Justification:
The scope of work for the technology project was initially reduced (only covered certain portions of the
school) and conservative in nature was due to fears /concerns on how the technology bids would come
in. We did not feel we would have the funding that was necessary to do what was required at Concord
High School. By reducing the scope, the thought was to use the left over funds for another project. Now
that we know how the technology bids are coming in (lower than anticipated), we feel certain we can do
the upgrades throughout the entire school.
JN Fries — Roof (20,000)
Central Cabarrus High — Chillers 20,000
Justification:
The additional funds will be used to install the Chemical Free water treatment system and Cooling Tower
Platform and Ladder.
Signed:
Kelly H.
