Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 2 -Rules of Construction and Definitions <br />ADDITION- An extension or increase in floor area or height ui a uuiiu+riy 01 �)Li'Li Uji'e. <br />ADULT USE- An establishment which excludes minors by virtue of the fact that most of its <br />business is sexually explicit. Includes but not limited to adult book stores, adult theaters <br />(drive -in, picture and mini - picture) adult cabaret, etc. <br />ADJACENT- All properties immediately contiguous to a site, including those which are <br />separated from the site only by a road or other right -of -way or easement <br />ADMINISTRATOR - The officer charged with the authority and duty to administer this <br />Ordinance. <br />AGRii.uLI ur iz Agriculture is defined as: <br />a. The cultivation of soil for production anu �,c_ j of crops, including but <br />not limited to fruits, vegetables, sod,'flowerw. ornamental plants. <br />b. The planting and production of trees and timber. <br />C. Dairying and the raising, management care, and training of livestock, <br />including horses, bees, pout er animals for individual and public <br />use, consumption, and ma <br />d. Aquaculture as defined i NC 'S 06 -758. <br />e. The operation, man �t, conservation, improvement, and maintenance <br />of a farm and the uctur I and buildings on the farm, including building and <br />structure repair �replpcement, expansion, and construction incident to the <br />farming operati <br />f. When perf. P d a n the farm, also includes the marketing and selling of <br />agricultural -- products, agritourism, the storage and use of materials for <br />agricultural purposes, packing, treating, processing, sorting, storage, and <br />other activities performed to add value to crops, livestock, and agricultural <br />items produced on the farm, and similar activities incident to the operation of <br />rm <br />AGRICULTURAL LAND - Land that is a part of a farm unit that is actively engaged in the <br />commercial production or growing of crops, plants, or animals under a sound management <br />AGRITOURISM- An enterprise or activity operated on a bona fide farm and ottered to the <br />public or to invited groups for the purpose of recreation, education, active involvement or <br />the sale of value -added products and services.
