Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 2 -Rules of Construction and Definitions <br />MODULAR HOME- A dwelling unit constructed in accordance with the construction <br />standards of North Carolina Residential Code for One -and Two - Family Dwellings and <br />composed of components substantially assembled in a manufacturing plant and <br />transported to the building site for final assembly and placement on a permanent <br />foundation. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, a modular home may <br />consist of two or more sections transported to the site on a chassis or steel frame, <br />or a series of panels or room sections transported to the site and erected, <br />assembled, or joined there. <br />MOTEL- A building or group of buildings containing guest rooms or dwelling u <br />all of which have a separate entrance leading directly from the outside of the . <br />garage or parking space located on the lot and designed, used, or intended wholiv or in Dar' <br />for the accommodation of automobile transients. <br />MOTOR HOME - A large motor vehicle, usually with facilities for sleeping and eating, use( <br />for recreational activities such as camning <br />MOTOR VEHICLE -Any machine designed or intended to travel over land, water, or air by self <br />propulsion or while attached to a self propelled vehicle. <br />MOTORCYCLE SALES, NEW OR USED- Establishments or - <br />new or used motorcycles. <br />MOTORSPORTS COMPLEX - A facility consisting of a racetrack, seating, concession areas, <br />suites, and parking facilities, with accessory offices, residences, and /or retail facilities, and <br />which is utilized primarily for the hosting of automobile racing events. <br />MOVIE I HEA EFL A motion - picture theater. <br />MOVING VAN, TRUCK OR TRAILE NTAL- Establishments primarily engaged in renting <br />moving vans, trucks or trailers±.Th e types of facilities may be permitted as a standalone <br />use or as accessory use at self - storage facilities. <br />MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL- A structure arranged, designed, and intended to be the <br />residence of more than one family, with each family having independent cooking and <br />bathing facilities. May be stacked or located side by side. <br />MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION COMPLEX -A facility, the principal use of which <br />is to create varying forms of educational or entertainment products including but not limited to <br />films, videos, and records.
