s <br />June 20, 2012 <br />Mr. Kevin Grant <br />Cabarrus County <br />65 Church Street, SE <br />Concord, NC 28025 <br />Re: Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Agreement <br />Dear Mr. Grant; <br />I am writing this letter to confirm our various conversations, letters and emails regarding <br />our Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Agreement with Cabarrus County. As you are <br />aware, this Agreement's base term ends on December 31 of this year. There is however <br />in Section 4 of the Agreement the provision for one, five (5) year extension. It is our <br />desire to have the Agreement extended for the five (5) year extension term with the <br />following provisions /changes /modifications to the current Agreement. <br />• MSW & Bulk (lX/week) - $14/home /month (this is the current service level) <br />• Recycling (EOW Single Stream with Cart) - $3.04/home /month (this is a service <br />level change from weekly bin recycling) <br />• Yard Waste (EOW) - $1.00 /home /month (this is not a current service level and <br />will not be used at the start of the new extension term ... this will be used as an <br />option in future years) <br />• Bulk (increase max cyds per pickup from 2 to 5) — no price change (we will <br />institute this as soon as we have written confirmation of extension plans) <br />• Recycling Return -- we will start transporting the recyclables to Sonoco with the <br />estimated $10 /ton recycling return being given to Cabarrus County (which we've <br />already started doing) <br />5105 Morehead Road <br />Concord, NC 28027 <br />(843) 285 -2781 (Office) <br />(843) 297 -0032 (Mobile) <br />rearter@republicsery ices, com <br />Attachment number 2 <br />G -3 Page 327 <br />
