C- Voltaics, following discussions with the NC Commerce department and their
stated commitment to having C- Voltaics in NC, would like to establish
headquarters and operations in North Carolina; we would like to get exposure to
all incentive packages for establishing/ relocating businesses to North Carolina.
C- Voltaics will create 25 jobs in the first 12 months of operation, growing to 50
jobs over the next 18 -24 months. We use patent pending nanocoatings and a
patent pending solar cell array system to reduce the cost of renewable energy
installation, lower service and maintenance costs of solar power and provide the
cheapest off -grid energy in the market.
In addition to C- Voltaics, I envision moving part of the Institute for NanoEnergy
(INE) from the University of Houston to the Old Bethel School Property as well.
The INE develops breakthrough technologies in energy storage and generation
(solar and wind) by developing organic based nano - photonic, nano - phononic and
nanomechanical composites that are manufactured by means of sophisticated
material control mechanisms. Once renovated, we feel the facility would be an
ideal home for the INE.
I envision a continued institutional /commercial use of the Old Bethel School
Property (consistent with the CIV Zoning specification - provided it permits light
industrial /manufacturing). We propose a phased restoration of the property to
include the use of our technology:
- The installation of solar farms in a phased growth scenario (as
shown in Figure 2). Initially, we will produce our `Storm Cell' units at the
Bethel site. These are transportable solar units generating 2 KW, 6 KW
and 10 KW for every 1 solar hour and will be placed on the campus in
locations called SC1 and SC2. In addition to providing power at the site,
these installations will serve as a training facility for our customers and
distributors.
- As C- Voltaics grows we propose to add additional large arrays of
solar grids (designated on the map as `Storm Grid' 1 -3). These arrays will
be developed to deliver up to 10 MW of power that will be used by C-
Voltaics for its energy consumption and excess energy potentially
delivered to the local area.
Attachment number 4
E -1 Page 57
