Department of Information Technology Services <br />III. Scope of Services Provided to KCS <br />Managed services include data and voice network management and <br />optimization. Our goal is to help you establish a more secure and robust <br />network infrastructure, improve scalability, minimize network downtime and <br />reduce network operating costs. Network systems to be covered in this scope <br />of work are listed on Addendum 1. <br />Network Team - The CUTS network team will use remote monitoring tools to <br />manage the KCS network infrastructure. Network personnel will be onsite as <br />needed for additional data collection, physical inspection of infrastructure, <br />network moves, adds and changes. CUTS Network Engineers and <br />Technicians will proactively monitor, maintain, diagnose and repair your <br />network technical issues to attain maximum levels of productivity for your <br />users. <br />1) Senior Engineer / Network Supervisor. Troubleshoots LAN/WAN and <br />other network related problems, provides vision for network design and <br />technical expertise for configuration of networks. Highly skilled in <br />monitoring and troubleshooting all aspects of complex networks. 20 plus <br />years of experience. <br />2) Network Engineer. Troubleshoots LAN/WAN and other network related <br />problems, provides technical expertise for configuration of networks. <br />Skilled in troubleshooting all aspects of complex networks. 7 plus years of <br />experience. <br />3) Support Technician. Troubleshoots LAN/WAN and other network related <br />problems, provides technical expertise for configuration of networks. <br />Skilled in troubleshooting most aspects of networks. Minimum 2 year of <br />experience. <br />Planning — The CUTS Management Team will assist in your Technology and <br />Budget Planning to provide recommendations and analyze impact of business <br />decisions on the technology infrastructure. <br />Vendor Management — CUTS personnel will work and negotiate on your behalf <br />with your current third -party vendors to resolve any network technical issues that <br />need to be resolved, covered warranties, licensing and purchasing.
