<br />(1) To obtain payment, the Grant Recipient must submit itemized documentation substantiating
<br />direct costs incurred in the implementing the project.
<br />(2) Matching funds are: $72,442 cash from Cabarrus SWCD, $35,000 cash grant from Phillip
<br />Morris, $15,220 as in -kind services from Cabarrus SWCD, $1,000 as in -kind signage by
<br />Cabarrus County, $1,000 as in -kind services by Cabarrus County Attorney, $13,008 as in -kind
<br />laboratory analyses by Cabarrus County Water and Sewer Authority, and $292,500 as value of
<br />permanent easements to be donated.
<br />(3) The value of a conservation easement (or other legal instrument acceptable to the Fund)
<br />donated to the project by a property owner may be claimed as matching funds contributed to the
<br />project only after the Grant Recipient has provided to the Fund all of the following information
<br />for that donated easement: (a) calculated area of the easement, (b) copy of the easement
<br />document as recorded by the county register of deeds, and (c) basis for the claimed value of the
<br />easement, which may be in the form of appraisal summaries, if recent appraisals have been
<br />prepared, or current property tax valuation assessed by the Cabarrus County Tax Assessor's
<br />Office showing total value of land and/or improvements, if any, with indicated year of the actual
<br />assessment.
