(4) Construction contingency funds allow the project to cover unanticipated construction costs, <br />often resulting from unexpected conditions encountered during construction. Construction <br />contingency funds are not intended to be used for work that is not construction (e.g., design or <br />construction administration) nor for construction that is not part of the project scope of work <br />(e.g., add -on work).
