To: Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />From: Kelly Sifford, AICP <br />Date: January 18, 2011 <br />Re: 2011 -2012 HOME program public hearing <br />Cabarrus County has participated in the Cabarrus /Iredell /Rowan HOME Consortium for a many years <br />now. Each year a public hearing must be held to gather public comment on housing needs. <br />Additionally, Cabarrus County is required to provide a 25% match for all activity funds in order to <br />participate. The match funds have included in Community Development's budget each year. The HOME <br />program budget has not been finalized but we expect to receive approximately $127,000 from the grant <br />this year. The public hearing will be advertised in the Independent Tribune on February 6th and <br />February 9` <br />Attachment number 1 <br />G -2 Page 121 <br />
