THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE <br />January 23, 2011 <br />and <br />THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER <br />(Cabarrus Neighbors) <br />January 23, 2011 <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS SALE OF <br />COUNTY PROPERTY <br />(Old Bethel School Property) <br />The Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County <br />has authorized the sale by sealed bid of the par- <br />cels of real estate (the "Property ") as set forth in <br />Exhibit A which may.- be accessed at- <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BiDS SALE OF <br />COUNTY PROPERTY <br />(Old Ballwl School Property) <br />p.m., Monday, February 28, 2011, at the office of <br />John Day, County Manager, Second Floor, <br />Cabarrus Count Governmental Center, 65 Church <br />Street, Concord, North Carolina. At 3:00 p.m. on <br />February 28, 2011, all bids received shall be <br />opened in public and the amount of each bid an- <br />flounced and recorded. The record of bids shall be <br />reported to the Board of Commissioners at their <br />work session on Monday, March 7 2011. The <br />Board of Commissioners will determine the high.. <br />est responsible bidder for the Property and will <br />award the bid by its regular meeting on Mondayy, <br />March 21, 2011. The Property is being sold "as Is, <br />where is ". Bids will remain open and subject to ac- <br />ceptance until the Board of Commissioners <br />awards the bid. Each bid must be accompanied by <br />a bid deposit of five percent (5 %) of the amount of <br />the bid. A bid deposit may take the form of cash, a <br />cashier's check, a certified check, or a surety <br />bond. The deposit of the bidder to whom the <br />award is made will be held until sale of the Proper- <br />I ty is closed; if that bidder refuses at any time to <br />the sale the deposit will be forfeited to the <br />County. The deposits of other bidders will be re- <br />turned at the time the Board of Commissioners <br />awards the Property to the highest responsible <br />bidder. In order for a bid to be considered, the bid- <br />der must be current on payment of all property <br />taxes owed to the County. The County reserves <br />the right to withdraw the Property from sale at <br />any time and the right to reject all bids. Inquiries <br />about the sale of the property may be made to the <br />County Manager's office, Second Floor, Cabarrus <br />County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street, <br />Concord, North Carolina 28025.
