KENT COUNTY BUILDING AUTHORITY MINUTES <br />July 7, 2010— 8:30 a.m. <br />Kent County Administration Building <br />211d Floor Conference Room h <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Daniel Koorndyk, Steven Pestka, and David Simmonds <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Sean Fitzgerald and Richard Rankin <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mary Swanson, Assistant County Administrator <br />Linda Rensland, Facilities Project Manager <br />Al Jano, Facilities Director <br />Steve Hudenko, Facilities Director — Sheriff's Department <br />Sandra Winchester, Senior Administrative Specialist <br />Vice - chair Koorndyk called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. <br />REVIEW OF THE AGENDA --JULY 7,201 <br />Mr. Koorndyk reviewed the agenda. <br />There were no changes or additions to the agenda. <br />II. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES —JUNE 9,201 <br />Mr. Koorndyk moved to Approve the June 9, 2010, minutes as written. <br />Seconded by Mr. Pestka. <br />Motion carried unanimously. . <br />III. PUBLIC COMMENT <br />NONE <br />IV. AWARD OF SUBCONTRACTO BID FOR REMAINING WORK CATEGORIES <br />(A) Video Visitation 5 stem <br />Ms. Rensland explained that there are three work categories that have not yet been <br />awarded; the major item being the purchase of IP Based Video Visitation System. <br />This item went out as a proposal as opposed to a "hard" bid. She said that before <br />reviewing the pricing, the evaluation team (comprised of members from tile Sheriff's <br />Dept. Transition Team, Kent County Facilities, Kent County iT, Kent County <br />Purchasing, A/E Finn (TowerPinkster) and '1'cchnoiogy Consultant (COmnlTech <br />Design) reviewed the proposals and decided to interview three firms: Black Creek <br />Integrated Systems, Midstate Security Company (with Innovisit software), find Stanley <br />Convergent Security Solutions (with Renovo software). At the end of the interviews <br />with the evaluation teams, the Cans were narrowed down to two: Midstate Security <br />Company and Stanley Convergent Security Solutions.
