The lnnovisit software had 27 installs in
which this was the second install partnered with Midstate compared to Stanley's
almost 3,000 installs with the Renovo software. The software package was the
determining factor, and Innovisit's software did not have the maturity or tine depth of
Stanley's product with Renovo software. 1n addition, the references provided by
Midstate /lnnovisit did not receive very positive responses from those who have used
their software and were not of the scope of the County's Correctional Facility.
Ms. Rensland then explained in detail the importance of a functioning video visitation
system for the Sherriff s Department and the courts. She stated that the final decision
came down to three issues: reliability, proven track record, and functionality.
Mr. Hudenko added that the Stanley system is compatible with the current Jail system,
which is definitely a positive.
Mr. Jano infornred the Building Authority that the budget for the video visitation
system was estimated at $820,000; thus, compared to Stanley's price the project is sti It
I
under budget.
Ms. Rensland said the software portion of the system became the deciding factor when
making the final decision.
Mr. Denhof stated'he also Nvas very concerned about recommending a system with a
higher bid price. However, Midstate's references were not good at all. He agreed with
Ms. Rensland's statement that tine determining factor came down to the software. The
Stanley /Renovo system has been used in jails around the country and has been proven
a good and sold system.
Nlr.
