EXHIBIT A <br />SECTION I: SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The Provider shall perform the following services submitted by Genesis...A New <br />Beginning, for those offenders sentenced to the Cabarrus County Crinminal <br />Justice Partnership Program and deemed appropriate for the services: <br />A. Individualized Assessments: The Provider shall provide within 48 hours <br />after referral, each offender an individualized substance abuse <br />assessment which consists of administration of a standardized written <br />assessment instrument and a face -to -face interview conducted by a <br />certified substance abuse counselor. TASC referrals and assessments <br />will be accepted and utilized when received in a timely manner. <br />B. Intensive Outpatient Treatment ([OPT): The Provider shall provide <br />each offender assessed to alcohol /drug dependence six (6) to nine (9) <br />months Multi Phase IOPT consisting of a minimum of 160 treatment <br />hours distributed as follows: <br />Phase One — Intensive Treatment: Eight (8) weeks three group <br />sessions per week, three hours per session, plus a minimum of one <br />individual session weekly. Minimum therapy time 80 hours. Hours may <br />include one to two hours per week of General Life Skills or Cognitive <br />Behavior Intervention based on the needs and interest of the clients <br />within the group. <br />Phase Two — Continuing Care: Eight (8) weeks, two group sessions <br />per week, 3 hours per session, plus individual sessions weekly. <br />Minimum therapy time: 56 hours. Hours may include one to two hours <br />per week of General Life Skills or Cognitive Behavior Intervention <br />based on the needs and interest of the clients within the group. <br />Phase Three — Aftercare: A minimum of eight (8) weeks, one group <br />session per week, three hours per week, individual sessions as <br />necessary. This will be provided to the clients at no fee to the County. <br />C. Regular Outpatient Treatment (ROPT) The Provider shall provide <br />each offender assessed to be an alcohol /drug abuser a four -month <br />Multi -phase ROPT consisting of a minimum of 40 treatment hours <br />distributed as follows: <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -4 Page 65 <br />
