authorized to enter into maintenance and repair contracts with third parties. The maintenance and repair
<br />services provided by the Department shall include, but are not limited to:
<br />(a) Grounds Work and Landscapiinn . This service shall include, but not be limited to,
<br />planting, seeding, fertilizing, soil treatment, irrigation, mowing, weeding, leafing and trimming of all
<br />School Facilities real property. Grounds maintenance shall be performed in a manner as set forth in
<br />specifications in existing grounds maintenance contracts.
<br />(b) Stadiums, Playgrounds, Athletic and Recreational Fields This service shall include, but
<br />not be limited to, playground equipment affixed to school grounds and maintenance and repair of tennis
<br />courts, basketball courts, tracks, scoreboards, maintaining and repairing athletic equipment used on the
<br />grounds (whether permanent or removable), and all buildings, grounds and facilities affiliated with any
<br />athletic program, including without limitation, restrooms, press boxes and bleachers or risers, whether
<br />permanent or moveable.
<br />(c) Building Exteriors This service shall include, but not be limited to, painting, siding,
<br />roofing, windows, storage facilities, decking, ramps, steps, locks, doors, walls, fences, benches,
<br />brickwork, skylights, mullions, louvers, culverts, gutters, sidewalks, parking lots, roads, sandblasting and
<br />pressure washing and shall specifically include repair of all leaks.
<br />(d) Building Interiors This service shall include, but not be limited to, floors, walls, ceilings,
<br />ceiling tiles, glass, doors, door stops, door frames, thresholds, steps, wood trim, ceramic tile, gym floors,
<br />partitions, cabinets, lockers, tiling, mirrors, windows, screens, carpet, white boards, chalk boards, bulletin
<br />boards, railings, bleachers, risers, seats, decks, chairs, casters, any athletic equipment, including without
<br />limitation indoor basketball goals, swimming pools, caulking, plaster, blinds, tables, shelves, carts, TV
<br />mounts, signs and hinges.
<br />(e) Electrical This service shall include, but not be limited to lighting, (whether indoor or
<br />outside), dishwashers, switches, ovens, stoves, drinking fountains, garbage disposals, heaters, boilers,
<br />slicers, fans, ballasts, exhaust fans, receptacles, washers, dryers (clothes or hand), mixers, shop
<br />equipment, relays, switches, breakers, ice machines, refrigerators, booster breakers, breakers, power strips
<br />and walk -in coolers.
<br />(f) Plumbing This service shall include, but not be limited to, sinks, toilets, urinals, drains,
<br />flush valves, drinking fountains, floor drains, cove base, pipes, filters, pumps, waterlines, sewer lines,
<br />faucets, showers, tubs, water coolers and water heaters.
<br />(g) HVAC This service shall include, but not be limited to, heating and air - conditioning
<br />equipment, humidifiers, air cleaners, filters, thermostats, temperature problems, tanks, ventilators,
<br />compressors, boilers, furnaces, duct work, vents, regulators, air handling units, fans, heat pumps, cooling
<br />towers, window A/C units and duct collectors.
<br />(h) Safety. This service shall include, but not be limited to, alarm systems, detection systems
<br />(metal or otherwise), monitoring systems, scanning systems, fire doors, fire alarms, panic bars, sprinkler
<br />systems, emergency lights, exit signage, fire extinguishers and any devices or equipment installed or used
<br />by any Party for purposes of ensuring safety and security in or on School Facilities.
<br />(i) Food Service/Refrigeration This service shall include, but not be limited to, boilers,
<br />coolers, ranges, refrigerators, walk -in coolers, cookers, ovens of any sort (including convection and
<br />microwave), garbage disposal and compaction, fryers, rotisseries, broilers, slicers, batter mixers, all other
<br />kitchen appliances of whatever kind or nature, including warmers, chillers, braising pans, stoves and ice
