The Child Nutrition Department of the Cabarrus Board and Kannapolis Board shall be <br />invoiced separately for all parts (but not labor on equipment), repaired or replaced by the Department <br />pertaining to this specific category. <br />All of the above maintenance and repair services shall hereafter be collectively referred to as the <br />"Services." <br />4. DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES /SCHOOL PARK FACILITIES. <br />(a) The Facilities Management Director (the "Director ") for the Cabarrus Board shall have <br />responsibility for providing maintenance and repairs (as more fully defined below) for all School Park <br />Facilities. The Director is also authorized to enter into agreements with third parties for maintenance and <br />repair of School Park Facilities. <br />(b) All costs of maintenance and repairs for School Park Facilities will be reimbursed to the <br />Cabarrus Board by the County. Mileage will also be billed at the rate of to $0.40 per mile due to the <br />increase in the cost of gasoline. In the case of third party agreements, the County will be billed for actual <br />invoice costs including all applicable taxes. <br />(c) The maintenance and repairs services provided by the Department shall include, but are <br />not limited to: <br />1) Athletic Turf Improvement This service includes bi- annual seeding, fertilizing, <br />irrigation repairs /winterization and associated irrigation wells /holding tanks, weeding, aerations and <br />topdressing of all school /park athletic fields. Mowing and trimming turf elements are performed as <br />provided in Paragraph 3, above. This Agreement excludes sport specific work, such as lining, dragging, <br />care of bases, nets and goals, etc. <br />2) Athletic Facilities This service includes fencing, restrooms /concession <br />buildings, press boxes, bleachers, risers, scoreboards, athletic field lights, sidewalks, parking <br />lots /roadways and utilities. <br />3) Buildings Exterior This service includes dugouts, concession /restrooms and <br />press box buildings, painting, siding, roofing, leaks, steps, locks, doors, walls, gutters, parking lots, roads <br />and sidewalks. <br />4) Interior to Buildings This service includes plumbing, I-IVAC, painting, repairs <br />to ceilings, walls, and floors, electrical (whether indoors or outdoors) and safety equipment. <br />5. COUNTY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />(a) All non - emergency work requests shall be submitted by work order request from Parks <br />and Recreation to the Director via the School Dude Maintenance Management System (software <br />application). All emergency and health and safety type work orders shall be called in by telephone or <br />Nextel radio to the dispatch area of the Department. <br />(b) A copy of all work orders and associated account invoices will be forwarded to Parks and <br />Recreation within (30) thirty days for their record of expenditures from the Parks and Recreation <br />Maintenance Account. <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -2 Page 52 <br />
