The ILS must allow cut, copy and paste commands for MARC
✓
record editing.
5. The ILS must support varieties of import template capabilities,
✓
including item level information mappings.
6. The ILS must combine and overlay records from bibliographic
✓
utilities, using library- defined match points.
7. The ILS must allow the scanning of publisher provided bar codes
✓
on books and non print items.
8. The ILS must supply templates containing required and
recommended bibliographic fields. These templates must be
✓
modifiable by library staff.
9. The ILS must support the ability to link from an open item directly to
✓
all other items linked to the same bibliographic record.
10. The ILS must allow staff to make selected changes to item records
✓
without requiring access to the full item record.
11. The ILS must support the ability to bulk change bibliographic and
✓
item records.
12. The ILS must support both the 10 -digit and 13 -digit ISBN standard
for searching for bibliographic records and in the duplicate detection
✓
process.
13. The ILS must permit the scanning of publisher provided ISBN
✓
barcodes on a book or non -print item.
14. The ILS must provide macros for repetitive data entry tasks.
V /
15. The ILS must accept, store, retrieve, print, and display diacritical ✓
marks.
16. The ILS must support the ability for library staff to export all or part
of the bibliographic database in full MARC21 format without vendor ✓
intervention.
17. The ILS must support retention of deleted records (authority, ✓
bibliographic, item) at the library's discretion.
April 1, 2010 The Library Corporation
Page 12
Attachment number 3
F -12 Page 277
