CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 15, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce - Selection of a Consultant for 2010 CDBG Scattered Site <br />Housing Rehabilitation Program <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County will be receiving $400,000 for housing rehabilitation <br />activities from the 2010 CDBG Scattered Site Housing Program from the <br />NC Division of Community Assistance. Each cycle a grant administrator <br />is selected to manage certain aspects of the grants such as environmental <br />reviews, work write ups and construction inspections. A Request for <br />Proposals was issued and staff is recommending Hobbs, Upchurch and <br />Associates based on experience, pricing and references. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to select Hobbs Upchurch and Associates as 2010 CDBG <br />Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation Administrators and authorize <br />County Manager to execute a contract that has been reviewed by the <br />County Attorney.
