<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 18, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Social Services - Budget Amendment (Food and Nutrition Services <br />Administrative ARRA Funds - $25,320) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provided <br />Federal funds to cover 100% of the administrative costs related to expanded <br />services in the Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) program. The funds directed <br />to Cabarrus County will cover the cost of two (2) permanent Income <br />Maintenance Caseworker II positions and provide temporary clerical staff for <br />the remainder of FY09 to process applications and manage ongoing cases in <br />the FNS program.
