' ^ Observe the passive LFG collection and. venting system installation and intermediate cover placement. ' ^ Observe the liner subgrade prior to geomembrane installation to verify that the surface is acceptable and will not damage the geomembrane. ' ^ Oversee placement and compaction of protective and vegetative cover soils. ^ Oversee installation of the final cover berms/swales, downdrains and perimeter ' drainage swales. Task 3.0 -Construction Quality Assurance Monitoring Services Task 3.1 -Liner and Composite Monitoring ' In addition to part-time RPR services, CDM will provide CQA services for the 40 mil LLDPE and geocomposite drainage net. Specifically, the following tasks will fulfill the CQA requirements associated with the C&D landfill closure. Documentation will be collected, ' assembled, and presented for Solid Waste Section review certifying that the closure construction has been completed in accordance with the applicable Permit Conditions and Contract Documents. CQA Services for Geomembrane Liner and Geocomposite Drainage Lam CDM will provide construction monitoring services (excluding testing) including the following: ' ^ Review the panel layout proposed by the liner subcontractor ^ Oversee installation of the geomembrane later including seaming and nondestructive in- ' field seam testing as required by the project specifications. ^ Oversee destructive sampling for the testing of "Seam Strength" and "Peel Adhesion' ' . O ll ^ versee insta ation of the geocomposite drainage net. ' ^ Oversee liner repairs. ^ Document the location and repair of any liner defects. ' For purposes of this amendment CDM has estimated a total of 270 hours (60 hours/week for 4.5 weeks) at a rate of $85.00 per hour. The daily work schedule is assumed to be the same as defined in Task 2.0 above. A separate day-by-day log will be kept of the CQA Inspector hours so that the County can track the expenditure of these hours. CDM will be entitled to additional hours if the actual number of hours warranted during construction exceeds 270. However, only those hours worked and authorized in advance by the County will be submitted for payment. ' Hours will be presented to the County on a weekly basis for review. CDM will conduct a separate pre liner installation/coordination meeting with the Contractor and their liner subcontractor prior to installation.
