The public hearing will be Feld on July 20, 2009 at 6:30pm in the Cabarrus County Commissioners Chambers in the County Government Building located at 65 Church Street, Concord NC 28026. Cabarrus County will provide auxiliary aids and services under tiie ADA for disabled persons who wish to participate in the hearing. Anyone requiring special services should contact the ADA Coordinator at (704) 920-2100 as soon as possible so brat arrangements can be made. The programs included in the Rural Operating Assistance Program application are: o Elderly & Disabled Transportation Assistance (EDTAP) Program provides operatiny assistance for the transportation of elderly and disabled citiaens. This transportation assistance allows for the individual to reside for longer periods in their homes, thereby enhancing their quality of life. For the purpose of EDTAP, an elderly person is defined as one who reaches the age of 60 or more years. A disabled person is defined as one who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity, an individual wtro leas a record of such impairment, or an individual who is regarded as having such impairment. o Employment Transportation Assistance Program is intended to provide operating assistance for transitional Worlc First, Workforce Development Programs and the general public employment transportation needs. Rural General Public (RGP) Program funds are Intended to provide transportation service to individuals who are not human service agency clients and live in non-urbanized areas. o Rural General Public (RGP) Program funds are intended to provide transportation service to individuals who are not human service agency clients and live in non- urbanized areas. The period of performance for Rural Operating Assistance Program funds is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. The FY2010 ROAP Totals are: PROGRAM ~I TOTAL EDTAP ~~ $80,4G2 EMPL ~ $9,195 RGP ~~ $51,51G Supplemental EDTAP r $46,OG1 Supplemental EMPL $11,409 Supplemental RGP ~ $45,304 TOTAL I - $243,947 The amounts of funding available for this application are set by the NCDOT-PTD and this pending application may be inspected at the Cabarrus County Transportation Office located at 28 Branchview Drive, Monday through Friday from II am - 5pm.
