Firms or individuals may be selected for oral interviews by the Committee and/or the Board <br />of Commissioners. <br />After the above activity has occurred, firms or individuals will be identified that will be best <br />able to provide services to the County. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Cabarrus County requests the services of a qualified and experienced professional firm to <br />prepare a master plan, engineering design, architectural design, bid documents, permitting, <br />grant submissions, construction administration, construction plan, and specifications based on <br />the direction of the Parks Department. The consultant will be asked to work with a Steering <br />Committee and to have at least 2 public input meetings to create a park that complies with the <br />needs of the Livable Community Blueprint as well as the needs of the community. Some of the <br />key elements will include but are not limited to: <br />- Topographical Survey of property <br />- Committee and community involvement <br />- Preliminary Master Plan Design <br />- Design Development -upon approval of and acceptance of the preliminary <br />master plan, proposed staging and a finalized budget will be determined <br />- Budget - to include all elements of the project (a not to exceed expenses <br />amount to be included for additional services as well) <br />- Construction Documents -upon acceptance of design and budget plans the <br />construction documents will be developed <br />- Bid Documents -develop bid package to be let by the County <br />- Grants - PARTF, LWCF, Storm Water Conservation, etc <br />- Construction Administration -consultant will work with staff and the contractor <br />to ensure the design is implemented, all permitting is completed, LID and LEED <br />practices are adhered to, and arranged in logical sequence in accordance with <br />best management practices. <br />The 190 acre tract is located on Wallace Road in Southeast Cabarrus County just off of Hwy <br />601 South 3 miles south of Hwy 24/27. There is an old rock quarry approximately 9 surface <br />water acres and is 75' deep. Other aspects of the property: open fields, wooded areas, <br />South Fork of the Muddy Creek, and is bordered by wooded areas, an operational RR Track, <br />a work garage, and an old mobile home park.
