Sheriff s)Cducatiou Incentive Prot3ram <br />Although the mininnun qualifications have been established for all classifications within the County, <br />certain classifications are awarded educational incentives if the employee obtains an educational level <br />higher than the minimum requirements. A maxinnun educational level to which the incentive will apply <br />shall be established by the County Manager for each eligible position. -Tn addition, these classifications <br />must be recommended by the County Manager and approved by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />The classifications eligible for the educational incentive program are listed below. The educational <br />incentive program is established to pay $.75 per month or $9.00 per year for each quarter hour up to 96 <br />quat•ter hours of credit toward a rivo year degree at an accredited college or university as this credit is <br />earned. The program pays $12.00 per month for every completed unit of test I 0 H8}-semester hours of <br />credit up to 120 hours toward a four year degree from appropriately accredited institutions of higher <br />learning ftt-fttt-ace-~iteE4-et~Net~e-ems tt+tivers~as this credit is earned.
