CONTRACT FOR TITLE V OLDER AMER[CANS COMMUNITY SERVICE <br />EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM PROV[DED FOR UNDER AMERICAN <br />RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as of this 1st day of June, 2009 , by and between Cabarrus <br />County (Through Cabarrus County Department on Aging) (hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") and <br />the Centreline Council of Governments (through its Area Agency on Aging), (hereinafter referred to as <br />the "Council"); <br />WITNESSETH THAT: <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to have performed and the Agency wishes to provide certain aging <br />services in connection with activities financed in part by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of <br />2009 (hereinafter " ARRA" )grant funds provided to the Council from the United States Depar#ment of <br />Labor through the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and mutual covenants and agreements <br />hereinafter contained, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. Employment of the Agency. The Council hereby engages the Agency, and the Agency hereby <br />agrees, to perform the services hereinafter set forth in accordance with the terms and <br />conditions contained herein. <br />2. Scope of Services. The Agency shall provide subsidized training opportunities and authorized <br />support services for low-income individuals who are 55 years of age or older. Ali services are <br />to be performed in foil compliance with the Title V regulations as establ(shed by the Department <br />of labor for the Older Adult Community Service Employment Program, ARRA Contract <br />Provisions and the rules and regulations set forth in the Division of Aging and Adult Services <br />Title V Older Adult Community Service Employment Program Procedures Manual, the terms of <br />which are incorporated herein by reference and The Agency acknowledges receipt therof. <br />3. Time of Performance. The services of the Agency' are to commence no earlier than June 1, <br />2009 and shall be undertaken and pursued in such sequence as to assure their expeditious <br />completion on or before the end of the contract period, June 30, 2010. <br />4. Grant Administration. The grant administrator for the Council shall be Gayle S. Woody. The <br />grant administrator for the Agency shall be Mike Murphy . It is understood and agreed that the <br />administrator for the Councii and the Agency shall represent their respective employers in the <br />pertormance of this contract.
