( <br />r <br />5. Waste products generated from the raising of chickens shall be disposed of properly. If on site <br />composting is performed, compost storage areas shall be located a minimum of 25' from any property line <br />and 50' from any stream. (**See below for additional composting information.) If onsite composting is not <br />used, all chicken related waste must be double bagged before being placed in on site roll out trash bins. <br />7. All structures, fencing, and female chickens must be located in the rear yard of the dwelling. The <br />range area provided to any chickens must not include the crawl space of any residential structures. <br />8. Male chickens (roosters) are prohibited. <br />*'Compost is organic material that can be used as a soil amendment or as a medium to grow plants. It is <br />created by: combining organic wastes (e.g., yard trimmings, food wastes, manures) in proper ratios into <br />piles, rows, or vessels; adding bulking agents (e.g., wood chips) as necessary to accelerate the <br />breakdown of organic materials; and allowing the finished material to fully stabilize and mature through a <br />curing process.
