CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 1/22/08 Agenda Item # ~--'t <br />SUBJECT: <br />Social Services -Termination of Contract with The Millennium Group, Approval of Seven <br />(7) New County Positions for Front Desk Staffing & Adoption of Related Budget <br />Amendment - $24,642 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Currently, front desk and records maintenance staffing is a contracted service. <br />Termination of the contract with The Millennium Group is recommended effective 6/30/08 <br />(providing 60-day notice of termination without cause) and returning to front desk staffed <br />by County employees. Employ front desk supervisor effective 3/28/08 and front desk line <br />staff effective 6/6/08 (total of 7 FTEs) to ensure ability to continue operations without <br />impairing the agency's ability to operate effectively.
