This vendor <br />was to have provided expertise in the area of customer service, record room management, and front desk <br />management. I repeatedly continue to receive complaints about customer service not only from staff <br />members, but also from citizens applying for service, key stakeholders who arrive to check in for a meeting, <br />and also Board Members alike. Therefore, I recommend termination of the contract with The Millennium <br />Group effective 6/30/08 (providing 60 day notice of termination without cause) and returning to Front Desk <br />staff by County employees. <br />The cost to do this is minimal, but could yield several needed efficiencies. Our request includes employing a <br />Front Desk supervisor effective 3/28/08 and Front Desk line staff in May or June of 2008 in order to ensure <br />ability to continue operations without impairing the agency's ability to operate effectively. <br />This request requires an increase of $24,642 which can be transferred from the following Current FY line <br />item: Medicaid Assistance (00195620-9454). If you will look below you will notice that in FY 2009, the cost of <br />having County FTE's versus renewing our contract with the Millennium Group is a minimal $4,114.00 <br />increase. <br />Thank you for your consideration of this request.
