CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 1/22/08 <br />Agenda Item # <br />~-~ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Approval of Engineering Services Contract Amendment for C&D Landfill Expansion and <br />Related Budget Amendment - $35,425 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />This Contract Amendment No. 31 with Camp Dresser & McKee is for Regulatory and <br />Wetland Assessment for Expansion of the Construction & Demolition (C&D) <br />Landfill--specifically to meet with the Solid Waste Section to get their interpretation of new <br />rules, to clarify what additional submittals need to be made subsequent to the previous <br />application, analyze airspace to determine remaining tonnage capacity/life expectancy of <br />current site, and address wetlands mitigation/permit application to determine requirements <br />to go forward with expansion.
