Memo <br />To: Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />From: Susie Morris, AICP, Planning and Zoning Manager <br />CC: File <br />Date: March 31, 2008 <br />Re: Proposed Text Amendment C2007-09-ZT River/Stream Overlay Zone <br />Attached you will find proposed changes to Chapter Four, Section 4-8-4-11 River/Stream <br />Overlay Zone, of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance. <br />• The purpose of these changes is to clarify when the buffer is applicable, what is permitted in <br />the buffers and to refine the language to make sure that all of the terms of the Interbasin <br />Transfer (IBT) are being met. . <br />• On April 17th, the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to <br />forward the proposed text to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners for final <br />consideration. <br />• Please read over the materials and be prepared to discuss the proposed text at the meeting <br />and to hold a public hearing for the proposed amendment. <br />~~ <br />
