Memo <br />To: Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />From: Susie Morris, AICP, Planning and Zoning Manager <br />CC: File <br />Date: June 16, 2008 <br />Re: Proposed Text Amendment C2008-01-ZT, Reception Facilities in Residential Zoning. <br />o Attached you will find proposed changes to Chapter Eight, Section 8-4 -Conditional Uses. <br />If adopted, the proposed text would be inserted as item seventeen (17) in the conditional use <br />chart and text. <br />o This amendment is necessary because Cabarrus County Zoning does not classify or set <br />standards for reception facilities in residentially zoned areas. <br />o The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously at the May 15~h meeting to <br />forward the amendment to the Board of Commissioners for final consideration. <br />o Please read over the materials and be prepared to discuss the proposed text at the meeting <br />and to hold a public hearing. <br />~-3 <br />
