AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: Amend Chapter Two, Rules of Construction and Definitions, Section 2-2, Basic terms and defmitions, as follows: • ADD the following defmition: Reception Facilities A fixed facility or establishment meant solely for banquets, wedding receptions, recitals, corporate functions, non-profit organization fund raisers, bar mitzvahs, anniversary celebrations and the like; by reservation only, with food and beverage, brought on site or prepared in an approved kitchen on site; but not as a Bed & Breakfast (for a definition of Bed & Breakfast see page 2-3). Entertainment scheduled in conjunction with the reserved events may be permitted as an accessory activity of the use. A reception facility shall not be operated as a restaurant with entertainment, and cannot be used as such. Amend Chapter Three, Establishment of Zoning Districts, Section 3-7, Statements regarding the purpose of zoning districts, Uses in the Ag/O Zone, Conditional Uses as follows: DELETE the following language: Ag/O Zone ADD the following language: AgriculturaUOpen Space Zone ADD the following language to the list of Conditional Uses: Reception Facilities Amend Chapter Three, Establishment of Zoning Districts, Section 3-7, Statements regazding the purpose of zoning districts, Uses in the Countryside Residential Zone, Conditional Uses as follows: • ADD the following language to the list of Conditional Uses: Reception Facilities Amend Chapter Eight, Conditional Uses, Section 8-4, Conditional Uses: • RENUMBER the following uses: Mobile Home Parks (from #27 to #10) Multimedia Production & Distribution Complex (from #10 to #11) Nurseries/Daycaze Centers (from #11 to #12) Public Service Facility (from #12 to #13) Public Use Facility (from #13 to #14) Race Complex (from #14 to #15) G-3 Page 1 of 5
