CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 6/16/08 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Agenda Item # ~- I{ <br />Approval of FY 2009 Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DJJDP) <br />Funding Plan <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />This joint venture between Cabarrus County and the State, coordinated through the <br />Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, provides a variety of community based services for <br />children at risk for behavioral problems. Of the $517,832 program total, the DJJDP funding <br />of $313,345 is processed through the County's books for distribution to the various <br />programs. The County is making a cash match of $9,000 for the ALPHA (Genesis) <br />program.
