CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 6/16/08 Agenda Item # F- 7 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cabarrus County Fair -Approval of Contract with Powers Great American Midways for <br />Amusement Services <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Powers Great American Midways has provided amusement rides, shows, games and <br />concessions for the Cabarrus County Fair for the past three years. Based upon their <br />performance and services provided during this time, it is the desire of the Fair to renew the <br />contract for an additional five (5) year period. The contract would renew effective <br />September 1, 2009 through October 1, 2013. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />1. Approve the renewal contract between Cabarrus County and Amusements of <br />Rochester, Inc. (d/b/a Powers Great American Midways). <br />2.
