CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/21/08 Agenda Item # (=-~ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance Department -Right-of-Way Purchase for Cox Mill High School <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On June 9, 2008, the Cabarrus County Board of Education (BOE) approved the purchase <br />of a right-of-way (.149 acre permanent easement and .171 acre temporary construction <br />easement) from landowner, E.G. Denny. The Cabarrus County BOE request the Cabarrus <br />County Commissioners to approve this $13,373.60 acquisition. The $13,373.60 was <br />previously budgeted under the land line item for the new Cox Mill High School. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Motion to approve the right-of-way purchase for Cox Mill High School and direct the School <br />Board to proceed with the property closing with Mr. E.G.
