Our technical expertise in these studies, as well as our <br />interest in and. commitment to fostering a productive and constructive <br />atmosphere, allows us to provide the fullest and most thoughtful counsel to <br />our clients. <br />The following activities will allow us to gather information, evaluate <br />operations, and provide recommendations regarding opportunities available <br />to the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office: <br />^ Task #1: <br />Review existing operations -composition of the Sheriff's Office, <br />departmental organization, current policing strategies and effectiveness, <br />etc. <br />^ Task #2: <br />Interview staff to discuss current/future needs. <br />^ Task #3: <br />Evaluate equipment and other resources used by Sheriff's Office staff. <br />^ Task #4: <br />Calls for Service Analysis: <br />^ Conduct a review of total calls for service as a basis for analyzing the <br />minimum staffing requirements of the department. Compare that call <br />load analysis with. the actual workload, i.e., the different types of <br />calls being handled at different times of the day and the time <br />demands those calls place on officer availability. <br />^ Review the call data by geographic area, calls per day of week, hour <br />of day, and type of call. <br />^ Review call data for response time and call resolution. <br />^ Evaluate call district/areas of assignment for impact and implications <br />of staffing <br />^ Consider the other obligations of Sheriff's Office staff that may <br />influence manpower <br />^ Task #5: <br />Analyze staffing growth over a defined period to identify growth history <br />and trends. <br />Brennan Consulting & Training Ser~~ices, LLC <br />F-15 <br />Item# 17 <br />Attachment number 1 ~ <br />Page 224 of 468 <br />
