<br />A. The county manager or his designee will approve all press releases prior to issue. The <br />Public Information Officer will operate from the EOCand a media/press area located outside <br />of the EOC. <br />IV. DIRECTION AND CONTROL <br />B, Educational and Public Information Programs -The Public Information Officer will <br />provide the media with information on new developments affecting emergency management <br />in the county. He will also utilize other types of programs to increase awareness of <br />emergency management and response, such as lectures or presentations on emergency <br />preparedness, distributing educational brochures and developing programs for local cable <br />television. <br />V. CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT <br />The line of succession is: <br />1. Public Information Officer <br />2. Assistant Public Information Officer <br />3. Emergency Management Coordinator <br />4.
