Under the direction of the Emergency Management Coordinator, assist in <br />the search and rescue of lost or missing individuals. <br />7. Assist in debris clearance to permit emergency access to damaged areas. <br />8. Assist land search and rescue operations. Along with other emergency <br />services, be prepared to conduct or assist in rescue operations of lost individuals and <br />injured/entrapped victims during emergency operations, to include water, low/high level, <br />trench, and confined space rescues. Be prepared to conduct victim recovery. <br />' B. In an emergency response which employs a number of emergency services (e.g. <br />EMS, fire, rescue, law enforcement, etc.), the Rescue Squad will operate under the <br />incident command system and will .follow the orders of the incident conunander. <br />C. Cabazxus County EMS is the lead agency providing emergency medical care and <br />evacuation on the scene during emergency situations. The Rescue Squad will support <br />' .EMS units in providing basic emergency medical care and casualty evacuation during <br />emergencies. <br />' D. The Rescue Squad will assist the County Radiological Officer with <br />decontamination efforts and site control in the event of a hazardous materials or <br />radiological incident. <br />IV. DIRECTION AND CONTROL <br />A. Initially, the Chief, Rescue Squad directs the operations of the Rescue Squad units. <br />The incident commander i~vill control the Rescue Squad units on the scene. <br />' B.
