k <br />b. The medical examiner will coordinate all press releases with the County Public <br />Information Officer priox to release to the media. <br />IV. DIRECTION AND CONTROL <br />A. The Public Health Director of the Cabarrus Health Alliance is part of the ~ <br />Coordination Group in the County Emergency Operation Center. He will direct all <br />medical-technical aspects of the county emergency response, under the supervision of the <br />Emergency Management Coordinator. The Public Health Director will normally direc# <br />operations from the County EOC. If he is not available, a representative from the Health <br />Alliance will replace him at the EOC. . <br />B. The medical examiner will control all activities connected with identification of <br />the dead and mortuary services. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner may assume <br />control of this activity if necessary. <br />C. The Public Health Director will maintain communications with all Health Alliance <br />teams or sites around the county. He will keep the Emergency Management Coordinator <br />informed of all activities, along with personnel and equipment status. The Cabarrus Health Alliance will direct the administration and use of the <br />Strategic National Stockpile when needed. The Public Health Director~will coritrol and <br />direct the medical-tec}uiical use of the SNS. He will coordinate all operations with the <br />Emergency Management Coordinator and request all additional support through him. <br />V. CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT <br />A. Health. The line of succession is; <br />1. Director, Cabarrus Health Alliance <br />2. Nursing Director <br />3. Environmental Health Director <br />B. Mortuary.
