<br />' a. A designated donation is a donation made to a specific or anizatiori or a <br />g <br />donation requested by an organization. <br />' b: The PIO will direct ublic in uiries concet~nin desi nated donations to an <br />P q g g <br />organizatian to that specific organization. The organization accepting/receiving the <br />' donation will follow its own policies and procedures for handling the details of the <br />donation. The donation then belongs to that organization which is responsible for the <br />' distribution of those items. <br />10. Unsolicited/undesignated goods. <br />' a. Unsolicited/undesignated goods are those donations not requested by an <br />agency that have arrived at the CRDP or other collection points. <br />' b. The EOC and the CRDP staff will make every effort to designate every <br />shipment to a specific agency or organization to reduce the waste of time and storage <br />' space. <br />c. As a last resort, the E1VI coordinator will direct unsolicited or undesignated <br />' shipments to the CRDP. <br />d. The CRDP staff will unload, sort, and store unsolicited donations that <br />' cannot immediately be sent to a using organization. <br />11. Transportation <br />' a. The donor will transport goods to the receiving organization or the CRDP. <br />The EM Coordinator may provide transportation for any donation items critical to <br />' recovery efforts. <br />b. The EM Coordinator will provide transportation of donated goods from the <br />' CRDP to the forward distribution points. This effort will employ all available county and <br />municipal government vehicles. State and federal assets will be used as available. <br />' 12. Voluntary Services <br />a. Persons may wish to volunteer their personal time and services to assist in <br />the response to the emergency. <br />b. The PIO will establish a telephone bank to receive inquires from the public. <br />' The operators will encourage individuals interested in volunteering services to affiliate <br />with a recognized private voluntary non-government organization (the American Red <br />Cross) or other organized group of their choice, such as church groups. <br />' EOP/ANNEX P 4 September 2008 <br /> <br />' F-2 251 of 408 <br />
