CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 1/22/07 <br />Agenda Item # _ - --~- <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments - Cabarrus County Department of Aging Advisory Board <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The terms for Virgina "Boots" Walker, Jerry Shinn, Marilu Peck, Robert Mathis and Alleane <br />Reeves ended 12-31-06. Ron Harwood, whose term ends 12-31-07, resigned from the <br />Advisory Board. At its December meeting, the Advisory Board unanimously voted to <br />recommend the following appointments: reappoint Alleane Reeves and Jerry Shinn for <br />3-year terms ending 12-31-09; appoint Theodore Drain, Nancy Yates and Frank Whitley for <br />3-year terms ending 12-31-09; and appoint Virginia "Boots" Walker to complete an <br />unexpired term ending 12-31-07. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if fhe Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Reappoint Alleane Reeves and Jerry Shinn fora 3-year term ending 12-31-09.
